An Airbnb success story
Working from the ground up, I conceptualised, designed, and project managed the revamp of this old dame in Observatory, Cape Town. The former student digs had been sorely neglected and fallen into disrepair. Once my team and I had returned it to its former glory the owner posted it on Airbnb and literally rented it out in minutes. The host was invited to have the property featured on Airbnb Plus homes after its first rental.
As well as designing the space and overseeing the renovation, I also managed the production and styling of photography for
the listing.

We had a superb host. We were welcomed into her beautiful, creative home and provided everything we needed and more.
The house was a wonderful place to live. Beautifully decorated with artwork and plants, spacious, yet cosy, especially when curled up around the fireplace surrounded by cats. This really is our dream home. There's also a nice outdoor space for a braai. The house has great security and we felt very safe there. Mercy was very thorough with cleaning, sweet and helpful.
The 3 cats were the sweetest companions during our stay and it was a pleasure to share the space with them and get to know each of their quirks and personalities. We would definitely stay here again if we ever have the chance.
